Rothwell C. Polk, Jr. is a sixty-one-year-old living in Englewood, Colorado.. His interests include independent living, community and country resources, spirituality and the Baha'i Faith, children and families, cats, dogs, birdwatching, fishing, books, poetry, film, music, and photography and video.

Mr. Polk has been a freelance writer for more since 1970. His writing credits include a number of Chicago-area magazines such as "Conscious Choice" and "The Neighborhood Works". He was a guest editorialist and then a full-time correspondent for the Gary, Indiana Post-Tribune. He wrote about everything from obits to fires to a nature column to major feature articles.

Mr. Polk has a B.A. in early childhood education and an M.Ed. in child development, and he is an expert on the ages and stages of children, their education and in parenting.
